Procedure for reporting damage

In the event of the death of an insured, this must be reported to insurer W.A. Hienfeld by telephone, e-mail or fax as soon as possible (within 48 hours). This must be done by the beneficiary and/or interested party. The procedure and required details are below. Upon receipt of the report, the claims handler will indicate whether expert investigation will take place. If the facts and circumstances of the incident and the cause of death are clear, an expert is usually not called in.

Injury

Serious injuries should be reported immediately. Injuries such as minor bruising and skinning etc. that do not result in permanent injury need not be reported. When in doubt or if the injury turns out to be worse than initially thought, one should still report the accident using the claim form. After 5 years, any right to claim benefits from this insurance lapses.
